This pathway is ideal for experienced tradespeople who have already spent time working in the field and want to move closer to formal recognition.

You may be a good fit if you:

  • Have at least 3 years of trade-related experience
  • Are 19 years or older
  • Can read and write
  • Want to work towards formal trade recognition
  • Need a structured process to assess your current level and prepare for the next step

Your Journey to Qualification

If you already have experience, you don’t need to start from the beginning. Our process is designed to assess your current skill level, strengthen any gaps, and prepare you for final trade testing.

ARPL Assessment

We evaluate your existing knowledge and practical skills based on your real-world experience. This helps determine your readiness and identify any areas that need improvement.

Trade Test Preparation

You’ll undergo focused preparation (typically 4–6 weeks) based on trade test tasks. This ensures you are fully aligned with industry standards and confident in both theory and practical work.

Once ready, you will complete your trade test — the final step in becoming a formally recognised artisan.

Red Seal Qualification

Upon successful completion, you will receive a Red Seal certificate issued by the QCTO, confirming your status as a qualified artisan.
